GINZA SIX, a luxury shopping complex located in the Ginza area of Tokyo, is home to the newly installed light sculpture by Tokujin Yoshioka.
Using more than approximately 10,000 colorless prism rods, the Japanese designer and artists created “Prismatic cloud”, a sculpture of light that inhabits the 400-square meter space, seemingly floating in the air. The installation is suspended from the ceiling via barely-visible cables measuring 10 meters in length and 15 meters in height. It is yet another marvelous installation following last year’s similar sculpture exhibited at Houston’s Allen Center in Texas, which was twice the size of “Prismatic cloud.”
